Dear Friends,
I must regretably withdraw from my upcoming performances (May 3, 6, 9, 12, 15 of 2010) as Carmen at the Wiener Staatsoper. I had to undergo a minor surgical procedure 7 days ago and was expected to recover by April 22. Unfortunately, my recovery has been slowed by complications that have left me physically exhausted and unable to perform staged performances of the demanding role of Carmen. Upon my doctor’s advice, I will rest completely for the next two weeks and resume my professional activities in the second half of May. I regret deeply having to cancel these important performances and am looking forward to performing again soon with the Vienna Staatsoper.
